MLB SlugFest 20-04 (Sony PlayStation 2, 2003)

Description
Midway Sports expands upon the groundwork established in their first arcade-style baseball game with the release of MLB SlugFest 20-04. Outfielder Jim Edmonds endorses this extreme take on the national pastime, which features turbo-powered base running, catches, throws, and hits. Realistic elements -- such as the MLB and MLBPA licenses for professional teams and players, actual batting stances and pitching deliveries, authentic stadiums, and 3D player models with over 1,500 animations -- help create the foundation on which the exaggerated antics take place. New to this version is the ability to create a team from scratch using the combined talents of both leagues. Players can also challenge friends to a Home Run Derby as well as control instant replay to watch spectacular plays from multiple camera angles. Rosters have been expanded to 20 players, six of which are pitchers, and a host of new fantasy stadiums and characters can be unlocked. Tim Kitzrow and Jimmy Shorts reprise their respective play-by-play and color commentary duties, each offering all-new dialogue designed to make players smile. DVD extras include a bonus movie entitled, "A Day in the Life of Jim Edmonds," and a behind-the-scenes featurette on the making of the game.
