Speed Kings is a motorcycle racing game that takes place amidst busy streets filled with cars, rival bikers, and the police. A total of 22 motorcycles are available to choose from, each based on real-world production and custom models from various manufacturers. Three single-player and five multiplayer modes are designed to keep the arcade-style racing varied as players weave through pedestrians and oncoming traffic on their way to the finish line. In addition to avoiding obstacles, players can perform a number of stunts for fun or for survival, including jumps or sliding underneath trucks. Misjudging a stunt or the space between vehicles will result in one of several crashes in which the character is violently thrown off his or her bike. Motorcycles also experience real-time damage with each collision, but can be repaired or upgraded in between events. Players who manage to finish the race in one piece can unlock reward-based extras through top performances. In addition, authentic equipment from Alpinestars and Shoei will help make riders look as good as they race.
