Description
This sequel to 2001's Paris-Dakar Rally features off-road rally racing with fully licensed vehicles ranging from trucks to cars to even motorcycles. As with any off-road game, the environments are what separate this genre from traditional racing titles. Instead of smooth asphalt or banked turns, players must come to grips with hilly terrain, inclement weather, wild animals, forests, deserts, explosives, and more. Twelve tracks are available in total, including venues based in Morocco, Africa, and France. As players compete for fastest time in the arcade-style racing competition, they must be wary of running into obstacles or risk damaging their vehicle. To help ensure a top performance, players can tweak their vehicle's tires, suspension, and other settings before each race. The Xbox version also supports head-to-head racing via Xbox Live.
