Trivial Pursuit Unhinged (Sony PlayStation 2, 2004)

Product Specs
Description
Hasbro's popular trivia game makes its PlayStation 2 debut with a number of multimedia enhancements designed to entice a video game audience. Three modes of play include Classic, Flash, and Unhinged. Classic is the traditional game of Trivial Pursuit, with players taking turns moving their circular tokens along a wheel-shaped board. Each space is color-coded to correspond with the type of question offered. The object is to earn a wedge for each featured category by landing on one of six hubs and correctly answering the question. Each turn will continue until the player gives an incorrect response. Six different categories include Sports & Leisure, People & Places, History, Arts & Entertainment, Wild Card, and Science & Nature. Rather than simply showing each question directly on the screen in text form, the developers have incorporated celebrity hosts for each section. Questions will be read aloud by such personalities as Terry Bradshaw, Brooke Burke, John Cleese, Whoopi Goldberg, John Ratzenberger, and Bill Nye. New wrinkles on gameplay include the Unhinged mode, where players will be able to steal wedges from opponents, earn bonus points, wager on whether or not a question will be answered correctly, and land on new squares to change gameplay.
