Ultima: Runes of Virtue II returns idle adventurers to the realm of Britannia. Choose from the first game's four heroes (Shamino, Iolo, Dupre, and Mariah) before seeking out Lord British for quests. The action begins in Lord British's castle, as players navigate their surroundings from an overhead perspective. As you travel throughout the world, you'll acquire an assortment of items to store in an 18-slot inventory, and weapons or items can be assigned to either button on Game Boy for quick access. Each new quest commissioned by Lord British will send your character to trap-filled caverns, bustling towns, and treacherous wilderness. Moongates serve as warp points between regions, and a pirate ship allows you to reach certain areas by sea. Runes of Virtue II includes battery-backed memory for saving progress and supports two-player questing via Game Link Cable.
