As the 20th century drew to a close, the sport of baseball was in a state of disarray. Fan support was way down and many teams went bankrupt. A new game had to be created. Thus, Super Baseball 2020 was born. Since then, America's pastime has never looked the same. Basically, Super Baseball is just that -- baseball with a different set of rules to make it more enjoyable to fans. The players now wear armor and can even upgrade it to make them play better. Also, women and robots now take the field. Keep an eye on those robots, though. They'll run out of fuel if you're not careful. There are 12 teams to choose from, with six in each of the two leagues. Some of the rules changes include an adjustment to the foul lines, a home run zone (deep center field only) and -- perhaps most excitingly -- "crackers." After certain innings, robot umpires will place these mine-like apparatuses on the field. If one of your fielders steps on a cracker, he, she, or it won't be in the best of shape. Some elements of Super Baseball 2020 remain the same as traditional baseball. There are still nine innings in one game, each with three outs. And it's still "one, two, three strikes you're out" at the old (err . . . new) ballgame.
