Mixing elements of Rock Band and Rocksmith, BandFuse: Rock Legends is a music simulator that lets gamers join up to three friends and use real instruments to jam to more than two dozen classic songs. Players can use the included USB adapter to plug any real guitar or bass with a 1/4-inch jack directly into their PS3, or insert a USB microphone to sing along to the lyrics from artists like Pearl Jam, Bootsy Collins, and Slash. The Career mode lets gamers head off on ten different tours, beginning as a small garage band and ending as rock icons in a sold-out arena. Designed to appeal to musicians and gamers of all skill levels, BandFuse: Rock Legends includes a classic note highway interface with animated tablature so beginners know where to place their fingers and when to strum, while experienced guitarists can jettison the interface altogether and take on challenging solos or entire songs in the Pro mode. The game also includes an amp and pedal system to let players add custom effects, while a polyphonic tuner lets them adjust their tuning on the fly. Those simply looking to sing can belt out tunes for fun in the Karaoke mode, or test their chops and to high scores over five different difficulty levels in Vocalist mode, and the game keeps detailed stats to let users know which skills they need to improve.
