KOIE's Nobunaga's Ambition is a complex strategy wargame for the Nintendo NES. This is a turn-based power struggle between warring feudal lords in 1560. Oda Nobunaga is one of these lords. His ambition was to unite central Japan under one flag, his. You choose from a game of either 17 fiefs in central Japan (short version), or face off against 49 other lords for control of all 50 fiefs in historic Japan (long version). In this Japanese civil war simulation you control twelve different characteristics of your fief through various commands you make during your turn. You also battle the whims of mother nature and marshall your troops on the battlefield by protecting your towns and defending the palace. Through conquest you grow to control more fiefs and more armies in your quest to build power.
