Description

Deadfall Adventures is a first-person shooter that sends gamers on a globetrotting journey full of Nazis, Egyptian artifacts, and supernatural events. Set in 1938, the game puts players in the role of James Lee Quatermain as he joins the U.S. agent Jennifer Goodwin on an excursion to find the ancient Heart of Atlantis artifact, which is said to possess invigorating qualities. The action finds the duo traveling from the Egyptian sands to the frigid Arctic, and on into the jungles of Guatemala, all the while fending off Nazis and Russians who are also after the artifact. Quatermain is said to be the great-grandson of Allen Quatermain, protagonist of King Soloman's Mines, the famous adventure novel that helped inspire the Indiana Jones franchise. In keeping with that novel's 'Lost World' aesthetic, gamers are encouraged to use their compass, notebook, flashlight, and treasure maps to solve puzzles and the explore the mysterious environments around them. When it comes time for action, however, players can wield a variety of era-specific weapons, and even use environmental traps to dispatch foes in spectacular fashion.
