Description
The first five-on-five basketball game on Nintendo 64, In the Zone '98 continues Konami's basketball series that began on PlayStation in 1995. The 64-Meg cartridge features 3D polygonal graphics and 300 players on 29 teams from the 1997-98 NBA season. A total of four game modes are available for up to four players: Exhibition, Season, Playoffs, and All-Star Game. Custom athletes can also be created and assigned to any team. Players with a Rumble Pak accessory will be able to "feel" each dunk, and a Controller Pak is required to save both individual and team statistics accumulated during a season. Moves such as crossover dribbles, pump fakes, and an assortment of dunks are possible, and players are also free to customize in-game settings. Adjustable features include quarter length, stamina, difficulty, controls, camera angle, and individual rules such as fouls, shot clock violation, and goal tending.
