WinBack: Covert Operations (Nintendo 64, 1999)

Product Specs
Description
KOEI's first game for the Nintendo 64 has you playing the role of Jean-Luc Cougar, an operative working for an independent government agency called the Strategic Covert Actions Team (or "S.C.A.T" for short). The story involves a terrorist group called the Crying Lions, who are oh-so-close to taking over the entire world. In their power is a satellite that can pinpoint specific targets across the globe. Now the terrorists have taken over one of only two buildings that can activate it! If they are not stopped in time, the world as we know it will cease to exist. As a highly regarded S.C.A.T. agent trained in the art of espionage, you are responsible for taking back the base and regaining control of the satellite. You must not fail! WinBack: Covert Operations is a third-person shooter that emphasizes stealth over fast-paced action associated with traditional games in the genre. While some of the weapons at your disposal include a handgun, sub-machine gun, and shotgun, you will also have access to such items as C-4 explosives, C-4 detectors, flashlights, and medical kits. Although the single-player game involves infiltrating a base and taking out the terrorist threat, WinBack: Covert Operations also features six multiplayer modes that support up to four players simultaneously: Death Match, Lethal Tag, Cube Hunt, Quick Draw, Team Battle, and Point Match. Other features include multiple difficulty levels (easy, normal or hard), Rumble Pak support and a Tutorial Mode to help players learn the controller functions.
