Description
Bruce Lee: Quest of the Dragon drops players in the capable shoes of late martial arts master, Bruce Lee. Using moves from his self-developed fighting style of Jeet Kune Do, Lee must progress through 12 international levels of beat-'em-up action, from San Francisco to Hong Kong, to rescue his father and retrieve the powerful Golden Relic from a crime organization known as Black Lotus. Players will fight numerous henchmen with an assortment of punches and kicks. Defeated enemies yield coins used to purchase one of over 150 fighting moves. During the course of battle, a Dragon Meter will gradually increase, which imbues Lee with invulnerability and the fabled "flaming fists" once filled. Occasionally, players will be presented with basic objectives, such as beating a certain number of enemies within a specific time. At the conclusion of a level, coins can be traded for extra moves or increased health and strength. When faced with multiple attackers, players can use the right analog stick to throw punches in any direction, regardless of where Lee is currently facing. Should that not prove helpful, nunchaku can be used. Throughout the journey, Lee fights bare-chested or wears one of a number of different costumes, including a yellow jump suit. Cut-scenes between levels are used to advance the storyline. Players will encounter characters including Victoria, the sister of Black Lotus boss Natascha, and loyal followers such as Oshi, Tsuki, and the Wolf. Fans will be pleased that over 50 spoken lines of Bruce Lee's philosophy have been included and fighting moves were motion captured from his last surviving pupil. Finishing the game rewards players with a One-on-One fighting mode.
