Description

Terrorists have attacked the Hawaiian Islands and the U.S.S. Armstrong has been dispatched to the region to neutralize the insurgents. As commander, you must lead the mission to reclaim the "Jewels of the Pacific." Pilot six sophisticated attack aircraft, including the Harrier Jump Jet, F-15 Eagle, A-10 Warthog, and the elusive "Raven" stealth fighter. Embark on 25 single-player missions consisting of air-to-air, air-to-ground, and air-to-sea battles. CNN-style full-motion video clips set the stage for the missions that follow. Eagle One: Harrier Attack features day and night combat, three difficulty levels, bonus targets, first- and third-person perspectives, rankings, and visual replays. Two modes of play include "Arcade" and a simulation-style "Flight" mode. By completing your objectives in a timely and effective manner, you'll earn medals in honor of your performance. Multiplayer options include a two-player head-to-head mode and a cooperative mode. The number of missions is reduced in the cooperative mode, however. An estimated 80% of the game is spent in the Harrier, which allows you to switch between jet and hover modes at will. Now instead of flying straight across the landscape and then turning around again, you can immediately hover in mid-air to quickly target the enemy. Other challenges include carrier landings, refueling in the air, and replenishing your ordinance by landing in designated areas. Developed by Glass Ghost over a period of 16 months, Eagle One: Harrier Attack is the first console video game to utilize the Harrier attack aircraft.
