NASCAR Heat (Nintendo Game Boy Color, 2000)

Product Specs
Description
Played from a top-down perspective, NASCAR Heat for Game Boy Color features ten authentic drivers, ten tracks, and three modes of play: Quick Race, Championship, and Beat the Heat. Players can compete on one of three difficulty settings, which influence the aggressiveness of computer opponents as well as their cornering skills. Quick Race is a single event on a choice of tracks, while Championship involves progressing through all ten venues in an effort to become the top-ranked driver. Each course features multi-hued surfaces to depict variations in concrete. The object is to drive along the darkened areas of the track to maximize speed and traction while avoiding collisions with rival vehicles. During each race, players have the option to pull into a track's pit area to replenish lost fuel and to fill tires. Each crew is divided into three areas of specialty: those who jack up the car, those who change the tires, and those responsible for refueling. Beat the Heat is a series of ten challenges in the areas of pit stops, avoiding crashes, time trials, and drafting. Up to three games in NASCAR Heat can be saved via battery backup.
