Description
DUEL MASTERS: KAIJUDO SHOWDOWN LIMITED EDITION by Atari is an installment of the DUEL MASTERS trading card battle games for the GBA. Players have over 300 new cards to select from as they build a deck of 40 cards to use in battle against other players and solve the mystery of a number of missing artifacts. Each duel in DUEL MASTERS consists of two players facing off against each other with the goal of destroying the other player's five shield cards. To do this, players summon monsters by sacrificing other cards of the same element to generate mana points. Once summoned, these monsters can battle opponent's monsters or attack the other player's shield cards. A number of other cards can be played, including magic spells and other stat-boosting cards. Kaijudo Showdown includes over 300 new DUEL MONSTERS cards, giving new and old players alike the chance to develop new strategies and decks. Players also have new sorting methods and deck management tools available, making it very easy to change their decks. The story of Kaijudo Showdown involves a new duelist (the player) entering two different DUEL MASTERS tournaments in hopes of discovering the secrets of two different ancient artifacts. Players can also link up with other players to duel and trade cards. Fans of YU-GI-OH and the POKEMON card battle games will enjoy DUEL MASTERS. Its large variety of cards and easy-to-use deck management system make it a quick game to learn, but a difficult one to master.
