Based on Hiroyuki Takei's animé series by the same title, Shaman King is the second franchise licensed by Konami from Shueisha following Yu-Gi-Oh!. Shaman King tells the story of a young boy named Yoh Asakura, an average student with a not so average ability. Yoh is a Shaman, one of a select few who have the ability to see ghosts and spirits. With the desire of becoming Shaman King, Yoh teams up with a ghost named Amidamaru. Together they embark on a journey to take part in the Grand Tournament held once every 500 years. In gameplay featuring elements of strategy and role-playing games, players must go up against a heinous organization and numerous villains out to stop the tournament from occurring at all costs.
