Players battle though a world of riotous chaos to help keep it free from an overbearing corporate government, in this sequel to 2002's State of Emergency. As in the original, this sequel plays out in open, urban areas, populated by countless other characters -- private security forces and fellow fighting-for-freedom gangsters, as well as countless (often hysterical) civilians. Once again, players will use found weapons to defend themselves and assault the enemy, working their way up from sticks and stones to rifles, machine guns, and even bazookas. Players can also commandeer certain vehicles, such as motorboats, helicopters, and tanks in the sequel. As in the Xbox port of the original game, State of Emergency 2 also provides for a number of split-screen multiplayer modes, for up to four players.
