The Cabela's-branded "extreme" hunting series aims to deliver a realistic, full-featured experience in its eighth edition. Virtual hunters will face three dozen dangerous, big game animals, each in a detailed re-creation of its natural habitat. Terrain is realistically affected by factors such the season, weather, and time of day, so even a familiar patch of land may change significantly over time. If ever the thrill of the hunt alone is not enough, players can also compete with other virtual sportsmen for the best performance-based score.
