Pro Pool (Nintendo Game Boy Color, 2000)

Product Specs
Description
Pool fans can now take a table anywhere in Codemasters' Pro Pool game. Play against a friend or against one of 64 computer opponents in one of six variations on one of two different tables. Accurate physics account for table and cushion friction as well as ball angles to determine swerve, side and spin effects. You can select from 8 Ball, 9 Ball, 6 Ball, 3 Ball, straight or speed pool rule sets and play in one of three modes: Match, Single-Player Speed Pool and Hustle. In Match mode, you go up against a friend or a computer opponent while in Speed Pool you work on quickly sinking as many balls as possible. In Hustle, you enter bars and play as a pool shark, placing bets to win money and moving from place to place until you score the ultimate prize: a bar of your own. Viewed from a top-down angle, the game allows you to have full control over swerve directions, straight spins, side spins and back spins as well as butt angles. This gives you the same variety of shots you would have while playing on a real pool table, complete with the ability to alter the power of your shots. In addition, you have two tables to choose from: the standard rectangle and a hexagon. Each has its own quirks and nuances, as do the computer opponents. The computer saves the game after every shot, allowing you to play as long as you want before putting the game down and picking it up later.
