Hole in One Golf features three 18-hole courses playable in either Stroke or Tournament formats. Players first aim their shots from an overhead view of the hole before initiating the swing from a perspective behind the golfer. A vertical meter lets players determine power, accuracy, and point of impact as the golfer carries out the shot. Wind, sand traps, and water hazards must also be accounted for when deciding which club to use. Once the ball is on the fairway, nearby animals may move the ball to a new lie (for better or worse) at random times during play. Hole in One Golf also includes a built-in rumble feature to let players feel the impact of their shots and two-player support via Game Link. The three fictional courses take place in Hawaii, Tokyo, and Arizona, and statistics for each course as well as Tournament progress are automatically saved to battery.
