Based on the Paramount Pictures movie and the novel by Michael Crichton, Congo takes players deep into the lost city of Zinj to recover a long-lost cache of diamonds. Played from a first-person perspective, Congo features a 360-degree playing field and four levels of jungle-themed environments taken directly from the movie. As players suffer from the effects of a tropical disease, they must also contend with aggressive gorillas, monstrous mosquitoes, and venomous spiders. Giving players the upper-hand are a number of power-ups and weapons that can be picked up as the game progresses. Weapons include a machine gun, elephant gun, homing bazooka, and phasic laser.
