While Joe and Mac were partying in the mountains, some Neanderthals came into the village and took all the cavewomen. It is up to Joe (or Joe and Mac in the two-player mode) to brave fierce prehistoric creatures and other ancient wildlife dangers while rescuing the damsels in distress from cruel fate. Caveman heroes Joe and Mac begin the game equipped with an axe and a bone respectively, along with their innate ability to stomp the life out of creatures. As they progress through the 15 levels of the game, they can obtain from eggs more powerful weapons such as fire, a boomerang and a stone wheel. Along with all the nasty cavemen, fierce sharks and other disreputable, Joe and Mac must confront a huge boss at the end of each level, most of which are dinosaurs. In addition to stomping on and firing your weapon at the prehistoric creatures, you can shoot for a high score. The more prehistorics you kill and the more food you gather, the higher your point total will be. The food also boosts your health meter.
