Alone in a dark theater, young Danny Madigan is watching the latest silver screen exploits of his favorite action hero, Jack Slater. Suddenly, he is magically transported from his seat into the movie itself. With Danny as your sidekick, it is your job to guide Jack through seven levels of Hollywood-type mayhem. Five of the levels consist primarily of Jack punching and kicking gun- and knife-wielding bad guys. Two of the levels place him behind the wheel of a car in the midst of a high speed chase, running down mobsters and negotiating barriers, manholes, and double-parked cars. Based on the 1993 action film starring Arnold Schwarzenegger, Last Action Hero takes place in crime-ridden streets, a funeral reception, and New York City neighborhoods.
