Players guide the great ape and his two closest companions to prevent an evil sorceress from taking over the world, in this side-scrolling adventure game from Majesco. Although released in the same time frame as director Peter Jackson's big-budget reinterpretation of the classic 1933 film (and its numerous video game spin-offs), Kong: King of Atlantis is based on the direct-to-video movie of the same title, which was released as a companion to BKN New Media's syndicated television show, Kong: The Animated Series. Players will switch between the roles of the show's three main characters -- Jason, Lua, and Kong himself -- as they travel through dangerous areas on a quest to keep Kong from being used as a tool of destruction by Reptilla, the villainous Queen of Atlantis.
