Jeopardy! is no longer a passive experience with this translation of the popular game show for the Genesis. The game closely follows the format of the television program, which means three players must compete to buzz-in and provide the "question" to the "answer" on the screen. Each game consists of two rounds: Jeopardy! and Double Jeopardy!, which doubles the maximum value of a question to $1000. Over 3,500 questions and 700 categories have been included in this version, with topics ranging from "Animals" to "Weights & Measures." Rounding out the package are authentic sound effects and theme music, a digitized version of the television studio, and the voice and image of host Alex Trebek. A Deluxe Edition of this game was released in 1993 with new questions, categories and animated players.
