Description
One of the many Tetris sequels, Wordtris for the Super NES combines the falling block action of Tetris with the strategic word play of a board game such as Boggle or Scrabble. Each tile that descends from the top of the playfield is labeled with a letter. The only way to rid the screen of the rapidly accumulating letters is to maneuver them in such a way that they form a word that is at least three letters long (the words you create have to be longer in the more difficult modes of play). This game will test not only your eye-hand coordination, but your rapid-fire vocabulary and spelling skills as well. Tools (other than properly spelled words) used to remove tiles from the screen are the randomly falling cherry bombs, dynamite sticks, and acid beakers. These helpful explosives are always a welcome sight when you see them falling from the top of the playfield. Wordtris features two two-player modes and a tournament mode that allows up to four people to play at once. Dust off your brain cells and limber up your thumbs -- Wordtris is waiting for you.
