SmartBall (Super Nintendo Entertainment System, 1991)

Product Specs
Description
SmartBall is an unusual platform game starring an amorphous blue blob named Jerry. Jerry's curious condition is the result of an evil wizard's plot to kidnap the kingdom's princess. To save his beloved, Jerry can stretch his shape to latch onto ceilings, stick to walls, squeeze through pipes, and collapse into a pancake. He can also propel his body to leap over gaps, or consume red and iron balls to shoot at enemies. The goal is to safely make it through eight side-scrolling levels, each divided into two distinct stages. Scattered throughout are letters that spell "Jerry" and purple flowers that sprout such helpful items as extra lives, balls, hearts, and seeds. The seeds will generate beanstalks that Jerry can climb to reach higher areas. SmartBall was released as Jerry Boy in Japan.
