ESPN X Games Skateboarding (Sony PlayStation 2, 2001)

Product Specs
Description
The first skateboarding game released for the PlayStation 2 console, this Konami title enjoys the license of ESPN's annual X Games, which are largely responsible for bringing "extreme sports" to mainstream audience. Realistically modeled skaters catch big air and pull off gnarly grinds in detailed 3D street and vert courses. The game is designed to provide a more realistic interpretation of skateboarding and professional competitions than is featured in most other popular releases. Several real-life professional boarders appear in this title, including greats like Bob Burnquist and Colin McKay. Though some of the arenas and environments featured in ESPN X Games: Skateboarding are based on the real-life San Francisco areas in which the 2000 X Games were held, the title's release date coincides with the 2001 ESPN X Games held in Philadelphia.
