Description
Sega's follow-up to Pat Riley Basketball features an entirely new three-quarter perspective, allowing you to see the court in greater detail as you perform one of 24 different shots on offense. The game includes five fictional teams, your choice of Exhibition, Tournament or Role-Play modes, and a pool of 20 players from which to draft your starting five. Each player has individual ratings in scoring, blocking, rebounding and steals, so choose the right balance of firepower and get ready to compete against a friend or the computer. As you play the game, a referee will call all violations and fouls, so you might have to make substitutions from your team's five-man bench. Exhibition lets you decide whether the game will be a three-on-three or five-on-five contest, while the one-player Tournament has you playing a series of games against three teams. Win the tournament and you'll get a shot at playing David Robinson's All-Stars! The Role-Play mode lets you play the entire game as one player in your choice of positions. Other notable features include penalties, three levels of play (beginner, normal or superstar), adjustable minutes per quarter (from three to twelve), four defensive levels (loose, standard, tight or last-ditch) and an option to have the screen fade or change instantly as you move from basket to basket. A password system allows players to continue tournament progress at a later time. Look for David Robinson's expert advice and tips at the half!
