Sony Computer Entertainment Europe has re-sized its popular World Tour Soccer franchise for PSP, designed to utilize the handheld's mobile gaming abilities. Players may choose from three modes of play: "Exhibition," "Medal," and "World Tour." Exhibition mode is intended to cater to soccer purists, allowing players to choose from 69 national teams featuring more than 1,650 renowned players from around the world, as well as eight stadiums. The later modes, Medal and World Tour, offer more of an "arcade" style of play, offering ten point-based challenges that emphasize fundamentals of the game, such as ball control and passing techniques. The PSP's wireless abilities allow up to four players to compete head-on, while a game-sharing function enables players to share and play together in a limited mode requiring only one copy of the game.
