Trouble is brewing in the Middle East once again as the state of Arzaria, under the command of General Hasouz, has extended its control of the world's oil by attacking the principality of Sautar. A number of nations, including the Commonwealth of Soviet States, have joined forces with NATO in an attempt to liberate the oil-rich principality. With you as its pilot, the Russian built MiG-29 will spearhead the operation. The MiG-29 is a multi-role fighter of awesome ability, from mid-air interception to ground target attacks. It is equipped with a cannon, rockets, and a couple of different air-to-surface and air-to-air guided missiles. The instrument panel gives some indication of the complexities of the craft, displaying an altimeter, a mechanical compass, thrust indicator, radar, fuel gauge, and more. You are responsible for taking off, landing, and every thing in between. You will undertake five missions, consisting of operations Red Witch, Blue Sea-Sprite, Yellow Dragon, White Pegasus, and Iron Hand. Objectives include destroying a command control and communications system, freeing a submarine and escorting it to safety, and searching a desert to destroy 31 scud missiles. Score points by blasting away at bridges, control towers, hangars, oil rigs, trucks, trains, helicopters, and the like. Confuse enemy radar by dropping flares and chaff. MiG-29 Fighter Pilot is for one-player only. It includes a training mode for practicing the controls and a password feature for saving your progress.
