Description

Journey back to 50 B.C. in this adventure starring the popular French cartoon character Asterix the Gaul. After Caesar ordered his soldiers to capture Getafix and Dogmatix, Asterix and his portly pal Obelix decide to free their friends. However, in order to reach them, they'll have to journey through six locales spanning multiple levels: Gaulish Village, The Roman Encampment, The Forest, Germany, Roman Galley, and Rome. While players can choose either character to complete a level, both have similar jumping, crouching, and punching moves. There are also various potion bottles that will grant Asterix or Obelix powers like throwing explosive capsules, creating cloud platforms, or becoming invincible. Passwords are available after each area so players can resume the comic adventure at a later time.
