Serpent (Nintendo Game Boy, 1990)

Product Specs
Description
It's snake versus snake in Serpent. You control one serpent, while your human opponent or the computer controls the other. Your goal is use your snake to trap the head of your opponent's snake in a corner, or you can trap the enemy snake head by encircling it. In the advanced version of the game, you must trap both the head and the tail of your opponent's snake. If you are playing mode two, you must also watch out for small snakes that crawl randomly about the screen; if one of these hits the head of your snake, you lose a life. Special items (mostly numbers and letters) appear on the screen throughout the game. These power-ups (and power-downs) perform such functions as slowing down or speeding up a snake and increasing or decreasing the length of a snake. The winner of the best seven out of 13 matches is the Serpent champion.
