Description
Based on the 1987 film (directed by Paul Verhoeven) of the same name, RoboCop puts you in the role of the famous cyborg cop. Armed with a rapid-fire pistol, you must walk, jump, and shoot your way through 10 levels of crime-fighting action. Your pistol has unlimited ammunition. Power-ups, which you'll find along the way, give you (a limited amount of) three-way spread-fire and huge bullets. You can also obtain something called a Manta, which when fired destroys everything in its path. Your missions include such police officer duties as patrolling Detroit, rescuing a woman being attacked, and raiding a gang hideout. You must also destroy ED-209, a huge law enforcement robot that fans of the feature film will surely remember. In the final level, you must face Dick Jones, the corrupt leader of OCP Security Concepts who is responsible for having you gunned down when you were still fully human and ultimately turning you into RoboCop.
