Treasure Master (Nintendo Entertainment System, 1991)

Product Specs
Description
One day, an ordinary kid named Scooter found an old, mysterious coin. For safe keeping, he put it under his pillow. As a result, he started to have dreams of adventure where he would search for treasure, having to avoid evil beings. After finding a book written by a sorcerer named Ocsiban, he discovered that his dreams were a prophecy. He was to set out on a quest to discover the "ultimate treasure." In Treasure Master, take control of Scooter as he attempts to fulfill his destiny. You'll encounter such worlds as the Islands, the Microchip, and the Moon along the way. Also, be on the lookout for sharks, dragonflies, caterpillars, and other malevolent creatures that will stop at nothing to end your mission. You'll have to pick up a great variety of tools in order to complete your quest -- everything from moon buggies to rayguns to scissors. It is also notable that this game was released not only as a video game, but also as a contest. If the game was beaten by April 1992, the player could enter a "treasure" contest with prizes such as trips and the (then new) Super NES. Even though the contest is now obsolete, a player can still finish the game and become a Treasure Master.
