Quarterback Attack with Mike Ditka is a game that completely uses full-motion video. Digital Pictures calls this game "The Professional Quarterback Simulator" as the quarterback is the only position you will play. Players take on the role of a rookie quarterback who has just replaced an injured veteran quarterback. Mike Ditka's name is in the title for a reason, he plays the part of your coach. Your team's defense is meaningless to you and running plays are few. This game is primarily about passing with the goal being to lead your team to victory. As a quarterback you will need to read the opposing team's defense and find the open receiver. Before each snap an overhead view shows the defensive formation. If after viewing the defense you don't like the play you originally called you can call an audible. When passing, the view of the action will change when a receiver is selected. Next players must move an aiming cursor and release the ball at the correct moment.
