Tolkien's The Lord of the Rings: Volume 1 can feature up to four human-controlled characters on the screen at once. Though the use of the Super NES Multiplayer Adaptor, four gamers can join together as Sam, Aragorn, or even Gandalf, each controlling his own character to help Frodo on the long and arduous journey to destroy the One Ring.
