Description

Produced using NUOPTIX 3D, a technique that enhances the game's graphics when 3D glasses are worn by the player, Jim Power The Lost Dimension in 3D puts you in the role of Special Agent Jim Power. It is your job to send an evil being by the name of Vaprak back to the Lost Dimension. To help you undertake your quest, you are equipped with a blaster, a jet pack, a uni-jet, a gyro-cycle and an energy suit that is equipped with smart bombs. Throughout the game you can pick up extra lives, extra time, weapon power-ups and keys, the latter of which are used for unlocking gates and doors. Much of this game plays like a side-scrolling platformer, but when you are flying through the air, the action is more akin to a scrolling shooter. Each level has you blasting tons of (unnamed) alien creatures as you maneuver from point A to point B. The stages Guardian's Castle and Time Tower do not utilize the NUOPTIX 3D but incorporate Mode 7 graphics instead. Any of the stages in Jim Power: The Lost Dimension may be played without the enclosed 3D glasses.
