Driven (Sony PlayStation 2, 2001)

Product Specs
Description
Driven follows the basic premise of the 2001 movie starring Sylvester Stallone, pitting Team Spirit drivers Jimmy Bly and Joe Tonto against their arch-rivals and others as they vie for the Driven Championship. The Story mode offers various scenarios with differing goals that must be completed. Certain situations require you to block the other racers, allowing your teammate to win, while others see you racing through a crowded city as you attempt to stop an out-of-control teammate. By avoiding contact with track objects and racing well, your driver will enter "the zone," increasing his ability to corner and raising his top speed. Crashes often result in flying debris or your car tumbling spectacularly through the air. To reduce the likelihood of such an occurrence, you're given a number of instant repair kits, which can be used to repair your car at any point during the race. Cut-scenes make use of hand-drawn pictures and voice-overs from some of the movie's cast members, including Stallone. Arcade and Multiplayer modes round out the selection. Two players can compete in split-screen competition across three different championships. A total of eight tracks are present, including ones situated in California and Germany.
