Fans can lead their country through several different tournaments. Players can also create their own team, earning valuable experience points as it wins matches and executes skillful moves. With practice, players can master crossover passing, faking out opponents, and changing defensive strategies while immersed in the action. An in-game menu allows players to customize their team's formation, choose penalty kickers, substitute players based on three player attributes, and even change jerseys. With a PlayStation 2 Multitap accessory, up to four players can join in the competition.
