A giant cyclone has thrust the world's sea-creatures high into the atmosphere, and only gamers can help the stranded fish return home safely. Downstream Panic!, a light-hearted puzzle game in the vein of Lemmings, asks players to use strategy, and gravity, to guide the helpless creatures from a set starting point to a set ending point in more than 80 pitfall- and predator-filled levels. But, while Lemmings had players assigning specific jobs to particular rodents, Downstream Panic! tasks gamers with manipulating the physical environment so that the fish remain ensconced in protective water and away from predators and dry land. An odd assortment of items, including onions, harpoons, landing nets, bombs, and fans, can be unlocked and used to ward off predators and help lead the fish on their descent back into the sea. Developer Eko Software boasts of more than ten hours of standard gameplay, three games modes, and downloadable extras.
