Timed to capitalize on a potential spike in interest brought on by the 2008 Olympic Games, Women's Volleyball Championship lets players represent a dozen different countries and dig, set, and spike their way through six indoor volleyball venues. Gamers with a creative streak or no particular patriotic affiliation can also create an entire team of volleyball competitors from scratch. Creating players isn't a matter of simply assigning rating points though, as gamers must pick a position and then select cards which determine what exercises the player will perform. After nine rounds of selecting cards, gamers will have developed complete players who can then be used in season and tournament modes.
