Description

As a male or female member of an elite Special Forces squad known as the Peregrine Falcons, you must take out two military leaders engaged in guerrilla warfare. You begin your mission by parachuting into a well-guarded enemy compound. From this point on, you will eliminate all troops standing in the way of your targets: Colonel Bildegaarn and Lieutenant Colonel McBarr. Adapted from SNK's acclaimed arcade series, Metal Slug: 1st Mission features 16 stages of run-and-gun action. Weapons include a machine gun, shotgun, rocket launcher, grenade, special shot, and knife. Since you are alone behind enemy lines, you'll need to periodically replenish your health by finding various foodstuffs. Two vehicles, referred to as slugs, let you battle enemies from inside a cannon-firing tank and a missile-shooting plane. Free hostages and collect items such as books, hats, and cups for bonus points. Save your progress via battery backup and win the war on a choice of five difficulty settings.
