MySims Racing (Nintendo Wii, 2009)

Product Specs
Description
Traditional go-kart racing with a tuner mentality meets classic Sims character customization and social interaction in MySims Racing. Players begin, as in other MySims games, by creating and customizing a character, choosing everything from hairstyle, to voice, to wardrobe. The "Story" mode frames its action around the needs of friendly and familiar MySims characters, with races serving as both helpful missions and a means to acquire new parts and upgrades. There are more than a dozen different tracks to conquer, but gamers must first help all of the characters in one area of Speedville before a new section of the world can be unlocked. In classic go-kart fashion, the courses are littered with power-ups and weapons, such as the pumpkin catapult or the bubble dropper. Strategy also affects the races, as players must choose between small, medium, and large vehicles, customize their car with engines, tires, and suspension, and then use accrued boost energy in a judicious manner. Gamers can avoid the story aspects and simply compete in single races, time trials, and tournaments in "Quick Race" mode, and as many as four human competitors can race head-to-head in the multiplayer mode.
