Cruis'n Velocity (Nintendo Game Boy Advance, 2001)

Product Specs
Description
The fourth title in Midway's Cruis'n series of games, Cruis'n Velocity offers third-person racing action similar to that found in Sega classics, OutRunners and Power Drift. Viewed from behind your chosen vehicle, the goal is to simply beat any opposing racers to the finish line. A limited number of turbos are at your disposal and provide an extra boost of speed when needed. Double-tapping the accelerate button engages the turbo. After choosing a vehicle from the ten available, players must race on 14 tracks through cities and locales ranging from Las Vegas to Mars. Modes of play offered are the Cruis'n Cup, Championship, and Freestyle. Progressing through the game will unlock extra tracks and vehicles for future use. A password is required for future play sessions, due to the omission of a battery save. Using the Game Boy Advance Link Cable, four players can partake in the action, though each player requires a copy of the title to make use of the multiplayer facility.
