The green ogre from 2001's blockbuster computer animated film smashes his way onto GameCube in an enhanced remake of the Xbox launch title. The "Extra Large" in the title refers to two additional levels, increasing the total to ten, and more than 50 missions to complete, from rounding up sheep to punching a series of whistles. Other new features include more fairy tale characters to interact with and 15 cut-scenes to help further the story. The basic premise is otherwise the same: the ogre must complete a checklist of objectives in each fairy tale-inspired area before advancing to the next. Shrek's ultimate goal is to rescue Princess Fiona so he can return to his swampland home for some much-needed peace and quiet.
