Description
Though its earthly population may seem to thrive with over 6 billion people, the human race is very much in danger of extinction. A band of intergalactic warriors known as the Amaranthine Accordance, which makes a habit of colonizing other worlds and claiming them as its own, has a new planet on its mind -- Earth! However, our homeworld still has one hope. His friends call him Joshua Fireseed . . . but legend calls him Turok. Turok: Rage Wars continues the Native American hero's quest to free our planet from the evils constantly threatening our existence. Though none of the action takes place in the legendary Lost Land, Turok must still battle its Dinosoid antagonists in league with the Amaranthine Accordance. (He might even have to face a few Bionosaurs!) Turok's efforts to once again free Earth from doom will take him to four vast alien worlds, each ultimately protected by a powerful boss creature. Along the way, he'll battle a variety of enemies -- both familiar and previously unseen -- across land and water, desert and ice. Though he begins his adventure armed only with a knife and bow, Turok's arsenal might eventually include five other weapons ranging in power from pistol to missile launcher. He can also collect tune-up kits to make them even more powerful, shields to protect him against certain types of attacks, and several other power-ups. The game features three difficulty levels as well as a password option so that you can continue from the last planet through which you last fought. Can you continue the fight to the end? Can you win the Rage Wars?
