Product Specs
Description
Tirmatian astronomers have discovered that a temporal rift in space/time is heading for their home planet. Since Tirmat is on the brink of destruction, the Tirmatians devise a plan to conquer Earth, the nearest inhabitable planet. They travel back in time, before Earth developed sophisticated weapons, to five different time zones of Earth's history. After learning of the Tirmatian plan, the leaders of Earth send some men back in time via a prototype travel system. The entire human assault force is immediately destroyed, save Dr. Vincent Gilgamesh. Time Slip for the SNES puts you in the role of Vincent Gilgamesh, a doctor who also happens to be good with weapons. Your job is to run and jump through six stages of play, shooting or avoiding tons of weird aliens, giant bosses, and brainwashed Earthlings. The stages take place in the following places and time periods: Medieval Britain, The Cretaceous Period, Ancient Egypt, Ancient Rome, The Recent Past, and Modern Day Tirmat. At certain times throughout the game, you'll ride a Jet-bike. Also, you'll solve a few minor puzzles. In addition to your standard firepower, you can pick up Grenades, Bazookas, Bubble Bursters, Smart Bombs, 3-Way Guns, Time Bombs, Shields, and Shots, which increase your standard firepower. You can also pick up items to increase the energy and power of your Time Suit.
