Hut-hut-hike! Game Boy owners can now enjoy football on the road with the release of Madden 95. Choose from 28 teams based on the 1993 season, 38 championship teams from years past, or 12 franchise teams as you play either an Exhibition, Playoff or Season game (only 1993 teams can participate in a season, however). Both offense and defense are played from an overhead view of a vertical field, and team statistics will be updated throughout the game. Other notable features include the ability to customize two offensive and defensive audibles, a "stop clock" play, no-huddle offense, substitutions (only the quarterback or halfback), and a full 16-game season that can be resumed via passwords. Unlike the Genesis and Super NES versions, Madden 95 does not feature an NFL or NFLPA license for real teams or players, although each squad mirrors its professional counterpart for the selected year. Those owning a Super Game Boy adapter will be able to play a graphically enhanced version of Madden 95 on their Super NES.
