Description
Lode Runner 3-D continues the long-running platform series that began in 1983. Developed by Big Bang Software, this re-imagined sequel on Nintendo 64 has you taking control of a covert operative intent on infiltrating an enemy ship by breaching its inner defense. Your quest will span 136 levels and 20 bonus stages across five distinct worlds. Levels incorporate elements of puzzle solving and action, and can be revisited at any time once complete. More than 18 items are included to help you strategically work your way through each stage, including ice picks, bombs, and other gadgets. While characters and structures are comprised of 3D polygons, movement is restricted to a 2D plane, and the science-fiction worlds feature static backdrops. Yet players have full control over the camera, from swiveling it around characters to zooming in on the action for a closer look. The Rumble Pak accessory is supported for vibration feedback, and progress is saved directly to one of four files on the cartridge.
